1. It is expected that all members of all race teams will act in a professional manner at all times. Race car drivers and race car owners are responsible for the actions of their pit personnel. Unprofessional actions may result in suspension from future participation in BRP CanAm Series race programs.

2. Any race car driver or race car owner who takes physical action against an individual or personal property will forfeit all winnings and points and may be suspended from future participation in BRP CanAm Series race programs.

3. Any driver who is black flagged for rough riding will receive no Series points for the event (race night) in which incident occurs. That driver will not be allowed to participate in any race following the race in which rough riding black flag was delivered (example black flag in heat out for the night). Note: this is for a single event (race night) and will not carry to the event.

4. Heat race starting position is determined by draw. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure that someone has drawn for the team at least 30 minutes prior to the advertised start of the race program. Late arrivals and those who fail to draw will start in the rear.

5. B-Main[s] starting position is heads-up from the heat races based on car and driver. Any driver who changes cars for B-Main will start last.

6. A-Main starting positions 1-12 or 1-10 are determined by redraw. Top four heat race finishers redraw if three heats are required, top three heat race finishers redraw if four heats are required, top two heat race finishers redraw if five heats are required.

7. A-Main starting positions 13-20 or 11-20 are heads-up from the heat races.

8. A-Main starting positions 21and 22 are for the B-Main qualifiers.

9. A-Main provisional starting positions 23 and 24 will be awarded to the highest eligible (top 25 in points) Series point earners who attempted but did not qualify in heat or B-Main.

10. The standard number of starters for an A-Main will be 24; however, that number may be increased / decreased at the discretion of Series Officials.

11. Drivers will be eligible for a maximum of two provisional starting positions per race season.

12. Driver must start the car that he/she last attempted to qualify.

13. Alternates [bubble cars] will be used. Alternates must report to the A-Main staging area and be ready to race. Alternate eligibility will be determined based on Series points just as Provisionals; not on race finish.

13. It is the responsibility of each team to work with Series Officials to status their race readiness.

14. All cars must take the original green flag to compete in a race.

15. All cars must start on demand without aid in staging area; cars requiring aid must start in rear.

16. No passing under caution, no racing under caution, no racing to the yellow flag is allowed. When caution flag / lights are displayed, cars must slow and maintain position.

17. If there is a caution before the first lap is completed, there will be a complete restart with cars in original starting positions other than those creating the caution. Car[s] creating the caution may restart in the rear.

18. After the first lap is completed, cars will lineup where they were running at the time of the caution. In the event of questionable restart positions, those cars will restart as they were running on the last scored green flag lap.

19. Cars that take evasive action to avoid the situation that caused a caution will not be penalized. Those cars will restart where fall into the lineup.

Note: There is no perfect way to handle these scoring situations with our process capability.

20. Any driver that intentionally causes a caution will not be allowed to continue in the race.

21. Restarts will use the “Delaware Restart Procedure.” Race leader will restart in first row by himself. Behind the leader restarts will generally be double file up to the halfway point of the race. Second place driver will restart on the inside of row two; third place car outside of row two; etc. However, restarts may be single file at Series and Track Official’s discretion if conditions warrant. After halfway, restarts will be single file. Lapped cars are to fall into the position they were running when the caution was displayed.

22. Each driver must use a RACEceiver at all times that he/she is on the race track.

23. Points are awarded to the driver based on A-Main finishing positions. Point allocation is 100, 95, 90, 85, 80, 76, 72, 68, 65, 62, 60, 58, 56, 54, 52, 50, 48, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41,40 thru last and DNS; 35 points per driver that attempts, but fails, to qualify for the A-Main. Bonus point events may be scheduled.

24. Attempt to qualify is defined as a driver who has entered a race ready car and is in good standing with Series and track officials.

25. Points are awarded to the driver who starts the car in the A-Main

26. Home track bonus points will be determined by averaging the points earned by a driver’s best five finishes at any one of the member tracks (Black Rock, Canandaigua, Little Valley, or Woodhull). The BRP CanAm point allocation will be used. Total points from the best five finishes will be divided by five regardless of number of events entered.

27. Series points, point fund, bonus programs will be awarded only if defined Series Marketing Partner decals are properly displayed on the race car.

Note: BRP CanAm Series Race Procedures will supercede and supplement host track rules. It is the responsibility of all BRP CanAm Series race team members to work within the rules, procedures, and expectations of the Series and each host track.
