Eriez Speedway Added To BRP CanAm Schedule St. Catharines, ONT…A new venue for the 2007 BRP CanAm Late Model Series is Eriez Speedway in Erie, PA. The date for the Series stop at Eriez is Sunday July 1st. When 2006 BRP CanAm Series Champion Randy Hall was asked about going to Eriez, he shared, “I have heard nothing but good things about what the new owner [Bobby Rohrer] has done for Eriez. He is a former race car driver/owner so he understands what we’re looking for. I raced my E-Mod there two years ago and the track needed new clay. I understand he’s put down that new clay and made other capital improvements in the short time he’s owned the track. What more can you ask for?” Hall continues, “I am always looking for new places to race. When Dick Barton, Dave Hess, and those guys [super late model drivers] rave about what Rohrer has done, then I am all for going to Eriez. The track has received lots of good press with the new owner in a very short time. The BRP CanAm Series will give Eriez more good press. Since none of the BRP CanAm guys have many or any laps there, it will be another neutral playing field for all of us.” “We are very happy to add another high quality track to our schedule,” reports Series co-director Bruce Thompson. “Eriez will give our race teams exposure to another new market. I believe we are now stretched about as far as we can go. Eriez is our westernmost track and Cayuga County Fair Speedway is the furthest track to the east. It is great that both tracks are within five miles of Interstate 90. The July 1st date is a perfect compliment to our 18 event 2007 schedule.” Complete Speedway information at www.Eriez-Speedway.com Complete Series information at www.BRPCanAmSeries.com |
