2007 BRP CanAm Late Model Series Schedule Set

St. Catharines, ONT…Schedule negotiations for the 2007 BRP CanAm Late Model Series are complete. The fifth year of the touring 360 dirt late model group includes 18 dates at 8 race tracks.

The 2007 Series will begin and conclude at Black Rock Speedway. In between are what have become traditional events at Merrittville Speedway, Ransomville Speedway, McKean County Raceway, and Woodhull Raceway.

After very successful events in 2006, return dates to Cayuga County Fair Speedway and Canandaigua Speedway have been negotiated with Jack Deery, General Manager of DIRT MotorSports North East.

The Series will once again return to Humberstone Speedway which last hosted an event in 2005.

New events include a Memorial Day Special at Woodhull Raceway, an August event at Ransomville Speedway, and a Super DIRT Week event at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway.

“We are delighted with the response we have received from the track operators. They all appreciate the great shows that our race teams provide. We are already excited about being part of Super DIRT Week XXVI in October. This provides an opportunity to showcase our race teams at one of the greatest spectacles in all of motorsports. We have no illusions about racing on the Syracuse Mile, but the satellite events at the short tracks that surround racing at Syracuse have grown to make Super DIRT Week truly super,” relates Bruce Thompson, co-director of the Series. “Racing on both sides of the border, racing at Super DIRT Week, the McKean County Fair Fall Classic, and Black Rock Speedway’s $10,000 event are all giant steps for these race teams. These are all opportunities for reward and recognition that many never believed possible.”
