BRP CanAm Series Heads To Cayuga County Fair Speedway

Weedsport, NY…Sunday night, July 2nd, the Cayuga County Fair Speedway [CCFS] will host a late model double header for the BRP CanAm Series Late Models and the World of Outlaws – Late Model Series. Gates open at 4:00 with racing to start at 7:00.

Sunday July 2 will be a night of firsts for the Weedsport, NY racing facility. The first time ever for both the BRP CanAm Late Models and the WoO Late Models at the track which has hosted motorsports events since 1955.

The two touring late model series are very different, but both typically provide great racing action. The 2006 BRP CanAm Series includes 13 events at tracks in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ontario. The 2006 World of Outlaws Late Model Series includes 40 events at tracks from Florida to Iowa [but none in Canada]. The race cars look the same from the grandstand, but are very different under their sleek aluminum and fiberglass bodies. The BRP CanAm cars are limited to two barrel 360 cubic inch motors while WoO cars have very few engine restrictions. The excitement is the same albeit at somewhat different speeds.
