BRP CanAm Late Models Vs Black Rock Speedway Super Stock Challenge Set

St. Catharines, ONT…The first annual BRP CanAm Late Model / Black Rock Speedway Super Stock Challenge has been set for Saturday October 7 at Dean Hoag’s Black Rock Speedway.  Hoag has posted a $10,000 purse for the $2000 to win 50 lap affair to help ensure a block-buster program.

“We have changed our Black Rock Speedway Super Stock rules to bring them more in line with the BRP CanAm Late Models for 2006.  We will continue to work with Gary Montgomery and Bruce Thompson [BRP CanAm Series organizers] to narrow the gaps and get all of these cars on a level playing field,” says Hoag.  “We have a very strong group of weekly competitors and the BRP CanAm cars put on two great shows here last year, but the rules differences do not encourage combining the two.  We will host two BRP CanAm Series events in 2006 [Saturday April 15 and Friday September 8].  The Super Stocks are part of our weekly program.  On Saturday October 7 it will be a no point deal and the most money these cars have ever raced for.  I believe this type of race car will play a major role in the future of Black Rock Speedway.”

The 2006 BRP CanAm Series starts on Saturday April 15 at Black Rock Speedway.  Gates open at noon with a 3PM start time for the double header which includes the T3 All Star 358 Modifieds.
