Randy Hall Joins BRP CanAm Series St. Catharines, ONT…Randy Hall of Olean, NY will compete with the BRP CanAm Series in 2006 Hall is certainly no rookie to racing, but has not previously raced in the Series; accordingly, he is eligible for 2006 Rookie of the Year honors.
Hall’s impressive racing record is centered on IMCA Modified and E-Mod racing, but also includes ATV and Street Stock racing. “I started racing 3 Wheelers in 1983 and quickly moved to 4 Wheelers. That is where we learned to love traveling to different race tracks. It was a great family experience. That got me hooked on competition, speed, and travel. In 1997, I started racing the IMCA Modifieds and we have traveled all over with that program. The BRP CanAm Series offers the competition, speed, and travel that we like. I really like all of the $1000 to win races and the $20,000 point fund,” says the 35 year old father of 11 month old Randy Jr. Hall’s IMCA / E-Mod record includes 124 A-Main wins from the first year in 1997 through a 2006 win at Southern Raceway in Okeechobee, Florida earlier this month. Winning, combined with consistent up-front finishes, has earned Hall eight track championships [three at McKean County Raceway, two at Freedom Raceway, and one each at Bradford Speedway, Raceway 7, and Woodhull Raceway]. Perhaps the major accomplishment in Hall’s IMCA racing record is that he has qualified twice [1999 & 2001] for the IMCA Super Nationals in Boone, Iowa. That spectacular affair attracts over 400 competitors each year. Hall’s 1999 run at Boone was the first for any New York State racer. For 2006 it will be a very different deal. Hall hasn’t raced a car with fenders since 1996, his first year in stock car racing. Hall’s 2006 CRS Monte Carlo will have big dirt late model fiberglass down force fenders. The car was just completed by [Joel] Smith Fabrication at Close Racing Supply and is at Cousin’s Design for graphics. Power for the black #10 will be a GM 360 built by Steve’s Auto & Machine. Sponsorship for Hall’s 2006 racing program comes from a long list of Olean area businesses headed by Duggan and Duggan General Contractors and Follman Rental Properties. Associate sponsors include Southeastern Transmission, Driveshaft Specialists & Radiator, Johnson Distributing, Fenner Real Estate, Allen’s Wine & Liquor, and www.IndianSmokesOnline.com. Hall’s IMCA / E-Mod program is intact and he will race that car as the schedule allows. “We are waiting for some E-Mod schedules and then we will develop our total race program. Based on what we have seen so far, I believe that we can race about 70 shows with the two cars. [Hall already has hit five 2006 shows in Florida.] Our first BRP CanAm race will be at Black Rock Speedway on April 15.” “He should probably go to Black Rock on the 14th to get a little practice,” shares Randy’s wife, Lisa. “We are really looking forward to the Cayuga County Fair Speedway Race [July 2] when we share the program with the World of Outlaws late Model Series.” For complete BRP CanAm Series news and information see www.brpcanamseries.com. |
