Southeastern Transmissions Presents BRP CanAm Opener St. Catharines, ONT…Southeastern Transmissions of Olean, NY will present the opening event for the 2005 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series on Sunday May 29 at the Little Valley Speedway [LVS] in Little Valley, NY. The LVS Memorial Day Special will start at 6PM. Don and John Wright own and operate Southeastern Transmissions during the week. On weekends, however, these Wright brothers are not flying airplanes. Instead, they are attending stock car races. They particularly enjoy watching the BRP CanAm Super Stocks since many of those cars are equipped with transmissions built at their shop on East State Road on the southeast side of Olean. “We are very happy to be a marketing partner with the BRP CanAm Series and to be the event title sponsor for the first Series race of the year,” reports Don Wright, as he stops working at his transmission bench for a quick break. “We really like the Series and Little Valley Speedway, so this is a perfect program for us. I hope one of the cars with our transmission wins. That would be a real bonus. Be sure to tell everybody that we provide complete transmission and transfer case service for passenger cars and tracks. They should call 716-373-0867 if they need transmission repairs.” LVS has hosted four BRP CanAm Series events which have produced four different winners. The first ever CanAm race was staged at LVS on July 2, 2003. That race resulted in a Miller family sweep with Dave following his sons Bruce and Andy to the checkers. The 2003 Series concluded at LVS with Bob Dixon recording the victory and with that claiming the Series championship. The 2004 Series started and ended at LVS with Andy Miller winning the opener and Ed Carley the finale. The average car count for these four events was an incredible 43 with a high of 48 and a low of 39. Bruce Miller and Bob Dixon plan to be in competition on the 29th. Ed Carley will be there, but as of this writing, does not have a super stock ride. Carley will be racing in the late model and sportsman portions of the LVS show. Andy Miller has moved to Tennessee, but will be waiting for his dad’s phone call late Sunday with a race report. The twelve event 2005 BRP CanAm Series will begin on May 29th at Little Valley Speedway and conclude on October 15th at Black Rock Speedway. Other tracks hosting 2005 Series events include Genesee Speedway, Humberstone Speedway, McKean County Raceway, Merrittville Speedway, Ransomville Speedway, and Woodhull Raceway. Detail schedule is available at www.brpcanamsuperstockseries.com. This Series is designed to promote the very competitive Super Stock race teams that compete weekly at Genesee Speedway and McKean County Raceway.
