Harrington Triples in Super Stock Action St. Catharines, Ont…Jack B. Quick Harrington of Great Valley, NY is currently the hottest Super Stock driver in BRP CanAm territory. The twenty year racing veteran hopes the fire stays lit and that he can continue to be quick. Jack B. Quick especially wants to add a Little Valley Speedway win to his impressive early season win list. The BRP CanAm Super Stock Series opener at Little Valley Speedway on Sunday May 30 would be the perfect place to start!
Jack and his wife Pam are owners of the Craiger GM powered GRT Grand Prix that Harrington races. “It is the same car that we used in the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series last year. We put a new body on it, but everything else is the same. Everyone thinks we must have made some major changes, but really, it is the same car. It was very good last year, but we just did not have a lot of good luck. Hopefully, 2004 will be full of good luck for us. We would like to go to Merrittville Speedway for the Dash next Monday. It would be a real advantage to get some track time prior to the points race there in July. However, while it may be a holiday in Canada, it is not here in the States and we both work so we probably won’t go,” says Pam. Other BRP CanAm Super Stock Series drivers who have recorded wins at the weekly Super Stock tracks already this season include: T.J. Shaw, twice at Freedom, A.J. Young and Matt Cobb at MCR, Jim Johnson, Dave Dubois, and Stubby Pangrazio at Genesee. All of those drivers anticipate running the full 2004 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series plus weekly competition at their home tracks. The BRP CanAm Super Stock Series is designed to promote the extremely competitive Super Stock race teams that race weekly at Bradford [PA] Speedway, Freedom [NY] Raceway, Genesee [NY] Speedway, and McKean County [PA] Raceway. These Super Stocks are best described as 360 Dirt Late Models. The 2004 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series includes 13 programs with events scheduled at the weekly tracks plus Gasport [Ont] Speedway, Little Valley [NY] Speedway, Merrittville [Ont] Speedway, Ransomville [NY] Speedway, and Woodhull [NY] Raceway.
