Merrittville’s BRP CanAm Super Stock Series Dash For Cash Set

 St. Catharines, Ont…The 2004 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series will open with a $700 ten lap Dash For Cash at Merrittville Speedway on Monday May 24.  The event sponsored by TNT Motorsports of Ft. Erie, Ontario will be a non-point contest offering the race teams an opportunity to test for the first time at the newly refurbished Speedway.  Teams will be testing in preparation for Merrittville Speedway’s Thursday July 1 full points program which will be run in conjunction with the BRP Modified Tour.

 “We are anxious for many of our fans to see these beautiful BRP CanAm Super Stocks in action for the first time ever. Many of our fans saw the BRP CanAm Super Stocks of Wayne Adamczak and Darren Kish at our mall car show last weekend and thought they were show cars rather than race cars!  We believe the Dash For Cash will create additional enthusiasm and excitement for the July 1 program. Joining the BRP CanAm Super Stocks for Monday May 24 Victoria Day Special with be 358 DIRT Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, Hoosier Street Stocks, 4 Cylinder and Dwarf cars.  Our pits will be overflowing,” states Merrittville’s business manager, Erika Bicknell. 

 The 2004 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series includes 12  full programs plus the Merrittville Dash For Cash. Programs are scheduled at Bradford [PA]Speedway, Freedom [NY] Raceway, Gasport [Ont] Speedway, Genesee [NY] Speedway, Little Valley [NY] Speedway, McKean County [PA] Raceway, Ransomville [NY] Speedway, and Woodhull [NY] Raceway.  The Series is designed to promote this very competitive class of race cars that compete weekly at Bradford, Freedom, Genesee, and McKean.  The BRP CanAm Super Stock Series race teams are competing for a $17,580 point fund in addition to the event purses.  Visit www.brpcanamsuperstockseries.com or contact Gary Montgomery at 315-536-3728 for more information.
