Woodhull Raceway to host BRP CanAm Super Stock Series

 

St. Catharines, Ontario…Organizers of the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series schedule for 2004 now includes a Saturday September 18 program at Woodhull Raceway in Woodhull, New York.  The 2004 Series schedule now includes 12 full points programs plus a Bicknell Racing Products Dash For Cash at Merrittville Speedway.

 

“Our race fans and race teams have been asking us to add some September shows to our schedule for the past few years.  Now, with other changes taking place on the area racing scene, we can better accommodate their wishes.  We will continue our Saturday night race schedule into September,” relates Woodhull Raceway owner Scott Drake.  “We will announce the full schedule and details later, but this BRP CanAm Super Stock Series program has lots of interest in this area so we have made the deal with Gary [Montgomery].  The only concern is that we race a class of full fendered cars that we call Super Stocks and they are very different that the late model styled cars of the BRP CanAm Series.  We will not combine the cars.”

 

“Woodhull Raceway is a natural for the expansion of the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series  There are many, Freedom Raceway, Little Valley Speedway, and McKean County Raceway fans who enjoy the high banks of Woodhull.  If you doubt it, just show up for the annual Woodhull Late Model Reunion show and try to find a seat,” says Dennis Shutt, one of the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series organizers.  “My expectation is that our Super Stocks will be equally well received.”

 

In other BRP CanAm news, a schedule change at Little Valley Speedway that produced a conflict with the Series race at Dan Hoffman’s Freedom Raceway has been resolved. Hoffman has moved his BRP CanAm program to Friday June 18.  Series organizers thank Mr. Hoffman for his gracious accommodation.
